Data Deletion Instructions

Comp IT Service (COMPITSERVICE LLC, Brunswick, Ohio) uses an app called CompIT Social Manager to manage the Instagram and Facebook business accounts of clients who connect them to it. This page explains how to remove the app’s access to your account and how to ask us to delete the data the app stores.

What the app stores

When you connect an account, we store:

  • The account’s Instagram or Facebook ID and username
  • The access token Meta issues to the app, and the date it expires
  • Content drafts, posting schedules and performance reports we prepare from the account

We never receive or store your Instagram or Facebook password.

Remove the app’s access

You can disconnect the app at any time. It stops working on your account as soon as you do.

  • Instagram: open Settings and activity, then Website permissions, then Apps and websites. Find CompIT Social Manager under Active and tap Remove.
  • Facebook: open Settings and privacy, then Settings, then Business integrations. Find CompIT Social Manager and tap Remove.

Menu names can differ slightly between app versions. Removing access stops the app, but it does not delete what we already stored. To have that deleted, send us the request below.

Ask us to delete your data

Email support@compitservice.com with the subject “Data deletion request” and include the Instagram or Facebook username you connected. You can also call (330) 741-1331.

After we receive your request, we:

  • Confirm it comes from the account owner or someone authorized by the business
  • Delete the stored access token, the account ID and username, and the drafts and reports made from that account, within 30 days
  • Email you when the deletion is complete

What we keep

We keep invoices and the emails we exchanged with you as normal business records, as described in our privacy policy. Posts already published on your account stay there until you remove them.
